Iran to Israel... Please bomb us!

Well if this doesn't make Iran's position about its relationship with Israel clear, then I don't know what will. Iran's president claimed in a speech yesterday "Israel is a 'disgraceful blot' that should be "wiped off the map'."

Gee. Combine this with the fact that Iran is hell bent on getting nuclear reactors fired up. They claim it is for their "energy crisis". Yea right. Iran has the 3rd or 4th largest oil and gas reserves on the planet. They don't have a large energy-consuming industrial base. If you believe that reason, then I have bridge in New York to sell you.

Israel blew Iraq's nuclear weapon ambitions to smithereens back in 1981 when they bombed Iraq's brand new, French built, nuclear reactor at Osirak. Israel didn't ask for anyone's permission. They just sent some F-16's over one day with some heavy duty weapons and put an end to Saddam's nuclear progress. Despite all the resulting diplomatic saber rattling that resulted from the pre-emptive attack, it did result in keeping Saddam out of the nuclear club.

Now based on what is going on in Iran this week, and these clear statements from Iran's new president, I think another bombing run is in order. A crystal clear threat has been made. And there is no doubt that Iran, with Pakistan's help, is rushing to get nukes as soon as possible.

So don't be surprised is Israel acts in the next few weeks.
